Long Valley, Nevada New World Resource Corp. has staked 254 claims in the Bald Mountain region of northeastern Nevada. The Long Valley project encompass a total 6,560 acres and covers a portion of what is believed to be the projected extension of an important north-northwest trending structure on the edge of the pediment. Initial prospecting has revealed outcrops of silicified breccias similar to those found in the nearby Alligator Ridge area. The Bald Mountain, Alligator Ridge area is an established gold producing region of Eastern Nevada actively being explored by Barrick Gold U.S. Inc Exploration A 113 line kilometre reconnaissance ground magnetic survey results indicate a strong northwesterly trending structure intersected by at least two northward striking structures. The intersection of these orientated structures is well known to be an important gold mineralizing control within the Bald Mountain property immediately to the north. This magnetic survey in the area of the claims was previously thought to be covered by younger, post-mineralization volcanics. However, New World's initial prospecting has revealed outcrops of silicified breccias similar to those found in the nearby Alligator Ridge gold deposit.
Historical seismic surveys have been purchased and concur with the structures seen in the ground magnetics. The seismic information gives a strike and dip to these structures and thus increases the definition of future drill targets. Long Valley is now drill-ready. It is estimated that no more than three holes into these defined structures would test their significance. New World is currently seeking a partner who is interested in testing the southern extension of a multi-million ounce gold camp. |
